247 - Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) shouldn't expect a warm welcome from some of his party members upon his return to the Senate. Immediately after the vote that reinstated his mandate, a faction within the PSDB revived demands for him to resign from the party presidency – a position he has already stepped down from.

The politician from Minas Gerais will find the party even more divided and embattled. The question is whether, personally weakened, he will be able to prevent the party's implosion during the analysis of the charges against Michel Temer.

Members of the PSDB party have begun to question whether the party "still makes sense." The group that defends maintaining support for the government says the party is leaderless. Some advocate that a group of the six governors should take control.

Government supporters are against Aécio's resignation. They believe that the departure of the politician from Minas Gerais from the party leadership would definitively pave the way for the reelection of Tasso Jereissati (PSDB-CE), from the anti-Temer wing.

Aécio called to thank the senators who voted in favor of restoring his mandate. One of the first to receive the call was the government leader, Romero Jucá (PMDB-RR).

The information is Folha de S.Paulo newspaper's "Painel" column.

Remember Aécio's hypocrisy when he voted for Dilma Rousseff's coup. "No one can commit a crime with impunity," the politician from the PSDB party said.
