247 - The leader of the PSDB in the Senate, Paulo Bauer (SC), signed the request authored by Senator Álvaro Dias (PV-PR) to remove from the House's agenda the bill dealing with abuse of authority. Bauer said that the decision to sign the request was made after a conversation with the party president, Senator Aécio Neves (MG), who is in São Paulo to participate in a meeting with former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

According to Bauer, the PSDB's assessment is that there is no climate to vote on the proposal after the demonstrations against corruption this Sunday (5) and with the negative reaction caused by the changes in the project of the ten proposals against corruption authored by the Public Ministry. "It is not the time to vote. You can be sure that this will not be on the agenda tomorrow (Tuesday)," said the tucano.

Aécio, who had previously expressed support for the vote, changed his mind after being informed of the majority of his party's position. However, Aécio reportedly emphasized that the discourse to be adopted should reinforce that the moment is not ideal for voting on the proposal. The objective is to avoid the PSDB being accused of endorsing the idea that it will no longer vote on the matter.
