"Childish provocation," says Lindbergh about the advancement of amnesty amid Bolsonaro's trial.
The right wing in Congress is trying to advance amnesty for those involved in the 8/1 attacks. The urgent matter is expected to be voted on next week.
247 - The PT leader in the Chamber of Deputies, Lindbergh Farias (RJ), criticized on Wednesday (3) attempts to impose an amnesty in the National Congress, while former president Jair Bolsonaro faces his trial for leading the coup plot, in the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
The congressman described the right-wing offensive in Congress, which seeks to exonerate Bolsonaro from his crimes, as promoting "bullying" against the Supreme Court, since the amnesty for those involved in the events of January 8th is unconstitutional.
"Putting this up for discussion is childish, it's almost bullying against the Supreme Court. It is clearly unconstitutional. When the crime affects the Democratic Rule of Law, it is not subject to amnesty, because it is an entrenched clause. It's as if parliament had joined Eduardo Bolsonaro's bandwagon," said Lindbergh, in a video published on his social networks, this Wednesday (3).
Lindbergh said earlier, in an interview in the Green Room of the Chamber of Deputies, that the urgency of the amnesty should be voted on next week.
