247 - According to the Federal Police, the office of the Attorney General of the Republic, Rodrigo Janot, not only knew that former prosecutor Marcello Miller worked for JBS, but also knew that he had been acting "indirectly" in the plea bargain agreement signed by the company's top executives, according to news reports. Veja Magazine websiteFormer prosecutor Miller was part of a WhatsApp group with the Batista family and JBS executives.

One of the most revealing messages was sent on April 5th, the last day of Miller's formal employment with the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office. However, the prosecutor was already advising JBS executives. Fernanda Tórtima, a JBS lawyer, informed the group that Rodrigo Janot's office had summoned Joesley to testify two days later. The summons is considered strange, as the details of the plea bargain agreement had not yet been finalized – the signing would only take place a month later.

Muller joins the conversation, offering guidance from someone who knows the Prosecutor's Office from the inside: “This can't be testimony. This can only be a debriefing [a preliminary interrogation].” Francisco de Assis, an executive at JBS, says it is indeed testimony. Miller, showing his alignment with the company, says, “We can't accept this.”

At this point in the conversation, the Federal Police observes, lawyer Fernanda Tórtima reveals that prosecutor Eduardo Pelella, chief of staff to Rodrigo Janot, was aware that Miller would be traveling to the United States to discuss JBS's interests. Furthermore, Janot's office was awaiting contact from Miller, who would call from the US to inform them about the agreement with the American authorities. For the Federal Police, the WhatsApp sequence shows that Rodrigo Janot's office knew of Miller's connection to JBS.
