Veritá poll: Aécio opens up a ten-point lead in the second round.
According to the institute, Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) has 54,2% of the valid votes, compared to 45,2% for President Dilma Rousseff (PT); in nominal votes the difference would be 42% to 36,1%, while 17,4% did not know or did not answer; yesterday, in the first poll, by Paraná Pesquisas, the difference was slightly smaller: 54% to 46%.
247 - New research on the second round of the presidential election gives Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) a lead of almost ten points over President Dilma Rousseff, of the PT. If the elections were held today, he would have 54,2% of the valid votes against Dilma's 45,2%.
The survey was conducted by the Veritá Institute between October 6th and 8th, with 5.165 voters from across the country, and registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under number BR-01067/2014.
In the nominal vote count, Aécio would have 42%, compared to Dilma's 36,1%, while 17,4% are still undecided and 4,5% would vote blank or null.
Converting individual votes to total votes, this would represent 54,8% for Aécio, compared to 45,2% for Dilma.
Yesterday, another poll, conducted by the Paraná Research Institute, also placed Aécio in the lead, but by a smaller margin: 54% to 46%.
