"Ask Esteves what it's like to get out of jail," Lula says at a meeting with business leaders.

Former President Lula was direct in his speech to business leaders, without resentment, stating that he was willing to listen to their proposals to pull the country out of its predicament.

247 - Presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), at a dinner with businessmen this Tuesday (28), sent a message to businessmen, bankers and politicians who, in some way, were involved with his imprisonment in 2018 and left him out of the electoral race that elected Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

Lula said he holds no grudges and, as an example, stated that he invited former governor Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) to join his ticket in the 2022 election to "set an example" that he holds no grudges. This information comes from the column of... Monica Bergamo, from the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo.

On that occasion, as an example, Lula made a speech directed at André Esteves, a BTG banker who, like him, was arrested as part of the Lava Jato investigations. Esteves was detained in 2015 and in December 2018 his case was annulled by the Supreme Federal Court (STF). "Because they said that Lula left prison furious. Ask André what it's like to leave prison," said the Workers' Party member.

The meeting even brought together some of the country's leading business leaders, such as Rubens Ometto of Cosan, Fabio Ermírio de Moraes of the Votorantim group, the president of Fiesp, Josué Gomes, the president of the Brazilian Federation of Banks, Isaac Sidney, and Abílio Diniz. Some of them had even participated in talks with Bolsonaro. To the point, at the meeting Lula asked the business leaders for a dialogue "without hypocrisy" and said he wanted to hear their proposals to get Brazil "out of the hole."
