The congressman said in an interview with the newspaper Folha de São Paulo that President Dilma "threw" the crisis resulting from Operation Lava Jato onto Congress, and now it needs to be returned to the Presidential Palace.
On Tuesday (3), the Attorney General of the Republic, Rodrigo Janot, asked the Supreme Federal Court (STF) for authorization to open 28 investigations to investigate parliamentarians and authorities mentioned in Operation Lava Jato.
"Are we going to spend a year here discussing whether the congressman stole a little bit here, a little bit there, while those who robbed Petrobras and destroyed the country will be laughing on the other side of the street? They invented this, why are they throwing it at us?", he exclaimed.
Paulinho also said that his lawyers had advised him to wait for the crisis to "worsen" before filing the impeachment request. "We can only do things properly if the crisis worsens," he justified.
