Serra's assets grew by only R$ 50 in two years.

This is what is stated in the declaration submitted by the candidate from the PSDB party to the Electoral Court. The TRE website shows the asset lists of three other candidates in São Paulo: Fernando Haddad (PT), Soninha Francine (PPS), and Paulinho da Força (PDT).

247 – In two years, José Serra's assets grew by only R$ 50, according to a declaration submitted by the PSDB candidate to the Electoral Court. See the list of assets of three other candidates, available on the TRE website and published by Globo:

The net worth of PSDB candidate José Serra (pictured below), leading in the polls for mayor of São Paulo, grew by only R$ 50 between 2010, the year he ran for President of the Republic, and 2012, according to a declaration submitted by the politician to the Electoral Court this Thursday. When registering his candidacy with the Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo (TRE-SP), Serra stated he had net worth of R$ 1.471.396,57. In 2010, the value was R$ 1.421.254,87.

The candidate from the PSDB party stated that he owns a farm in the city of Ibiúna, part of a plot of land in Piracicaba, three commercial units in the capital, and financial investments. Besides Serra, the TRE website shows the asset declarations of three other candidates: Fernando Haddad (PT), Soninha Francine (PPS), and Paulo Pereira da Silva, known as Paulinho da Força (PDT).

The PT candidate, Fernando Haddad, declared assets totaling R$ 473.789,66. He stated to the Electoral Court that he owns an apartment in the Paraíso neighborhood worth R$ 90, part of a house in the Planalto Paulista neighborhood equivalent to R$ 183, a Ford Ecosport, R$ 140 inherited from an estate, and money in a checking account. Since Haddad did not run for elected office in previous years, there is no record of his prior assets in the Electoral Court.

Soninha's declared assets have more than doubled in the last four years. She reported that her assets currently total R$ 359.575 and include a house, a motorcycle, a Corsa car, and a membership to the Valinhos Country Club. When she ran for Mayor of São Paulo in 2008, she stated she had R$ 131.770,07.

Paulo Pereira da Silva, known as Paulinho da Força (PDT), informed the TRE-SP (Regional Electoral Court of São Paulo) that his assets have decreased in the last two years and now amount to R$ 493. This value is almost half of what Paulinho declared to the Electoral Court when he ran for federal deputy in 2010, stating that he possessed assets totaling R$ 967.327,50. Paulinho reported owning a plot of land, a car, part of a house and an apartment, and investments.

As of the closing of this edition, the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) had not yet released the asset declarations of candidates Gabriel Chalita (PMDB) and Celso Russomano (PRB). The politicians had until 19 PM today to declare their assets to the Electoral Court. The agency stated that it should make the data available on its website by Sunday.
