247 - The coup-plotting draft found at the residence of former Justice Minister Anderson Torres, which was allegedly to be delivered to Jair Bolsonaro, was not handwritten, reports Guilherme Amado of [source missing]. MetropolisThe document will be examined by the Federal Police (PF) to compare the handwriting with that of Torres and other possible authors of the proposal. Torres' lawyer, Rodrigo Rocca, had said that the document was handwritten, but sources from the Federal Police (PF) informed the column that the draft was typed on a computer and printed.

The draft called for a decree authorizing Bolsonaro, then in power, to declare a state of emergency at the headquarters of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) in order to overturn the election results that brought Lula to the presidency.

According to information published this Thursday (12) by FSP, the document was found in the former minister's locker during a search and seizure on Tuesday (10).

Journalist Caio Junqueira, from CNN Brasil, reported that Torres' lawyer, Rodrigo Roca, said that the former minister received the document from "members of the public" and that the text was not sent to Bolsonaro.

(Update at 18:36 PM on January 12, 2023 – Contrary to what Anderson Torres' lawyer, Rodrigo Rocca, said, the draft of the coup seized at the former minister's house, proposing an investigation by the Superior Electoral Court and a change in the election results, was not handwritten. The text has been corrected to highlight the clarity of the information.)
