Church activists put pressure on Congress.

A demonstration by members of Pentecostal churches attracted approximately 8 people in Brasília, with even greater attendance expected later in the evening, when musical performances will take place; organized by Pastor Silas Malafaia, it counts the president of the Human Rights Commission, Marco Feliciano (pictured), among its leaders; the event, which claims to defend religious freedom, faces opposition from advocates for gay rights.

247 – Congressman Marco Feliciano, president of the Chamber of Deputies' Human Rights Commission, and Pastor Silas Malafaia led today's gathering of thousands of Pentecostal church demonstrators in front of the National Congress. The meeting in defense of religious freedom began at 15:00 PM and, according to the Military Police, they expect 8 people in the afternoon and 50 people in the evening, due to the concerts. The organizer is Pastor Silas Malafaia.

In a Facebook event, 6.122 people confirmed their attendance. In addition to political leaders, gospel singers (Aline Barros, André Valadão, Eyshila, Nani Azevedo, Thalles Roberto, Bruna Karla, David Quinlan, and Cassiane) will be at the demonstration.

A march against Congressman and Pastor Marco Feliciano, organized by the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Movement, will take place at the same time as the meeting in favor of religious freedom. According to the Military Police, a team is already on site to deal with any potential disagreements between the two groups.
