The Chamber's leadership confirms that 52 deputies have switched parties.

Brasilia – So far, the change of party of 52 deputies has been confirmed, according to a survey carried out by Agência Brasil, based on information from the General Secretariat of the Chamber's Board and the parliamentarians' offices – the deadline for those intending to run in the 2014 elections to join other parties ended on Saturday (5). Solidariedade, with 22 affiliations, and PROS, with 14, created on the 24th, were the parties that received the most parliamentarians.

Two senators, both from Tocantins, have switched parties: Kátia Abreu left the PSD and joined the PMDB, and Vicentinho Alves switched from the PR to Solidariedade. According to the electoral calendar, parties now have until the 14th to submit their list of members to the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).

In the Chamber of Deputies, the PDT was the party that lost the most representatives, nine in total. Those who left the party were Miro Teixeira (RJ), Zé Silva (MG), Dr. Jorge Silva (ES), Manato (ES), Salvador Zimbaldi (SP), Marcos Medrado (BA), Paulo Pereira da Silva (SP), Sebastião Bala Rocha (AP), and João Dado (SP).

In the PMDB party, six left the party: Arthur Maia (BA), Paulo Lustosa (CE), Genecias Noronha (CE), Benjamim Maranhão (PB), Luiz Pitiman (DF), and Wladimir Costa (PA). The PR party also lost six representatives: Lilian Sá (RJ), Maurício Trindade (BA), Vicente Arruda (CE), Henrique Oliveira (AM), Laercio Oliveira (SE), and Ronaldo Fonseca (DF).

The PSDB lost six deputies: Luiz Nishimori (PR), Eduardo Gomes (TO), Dudimar Paxiuba (PA), Alexandre Toledo (AL), Urzeni Rocha and Walter Feldman (SP). In the PSB, four deputies – Antonio Balhmann (CE), Ariosto Holanda (CE), Valtenir Pereira (MT) and Givaldo Carimbão (AL) – opted for another party. In the PSD, there were also four party changes. Marcelo Aguiar (SP), Raul Lima (RR), Ademir Camilo (MG) and Armando Vergílio (GO) left.

Beto Mansur (SP), Luiz Argolo (BA), and Marcio Junqueira (RR) left the PP, but the party gained four deputies from other parties. Deputies Simplício Araújo (MA), Augusto Carvalho (DF), and Almeida Lima (SE) left the PPS. Three deputies also left the DEM: Augusto Coutinho (PE), Betinho Rosado (RN), and Major Fábio (PB).

Eight parties lost one representative each: Domingos Dutra (MA) left the PT, Fernando Francischini (PR) left the PEN, Aureo (RJ) left the PRTB, Magda Mofatto (GO) left the PTB, Vilalba (PE) left the PRB, Hugo Leal (RJ) left the PSC, Alfredo Sirkis (RJ) left the PV, and Dr. Grilo (MG) left the PSL.
