However, Pacheco suffered the 'betrayal' of three PSD senators.
247 - The MDB formalized this Tuesday (31) its support for the president of the Senate and candidate for re-election, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG).
Of the 10 representatives from the MDB party, only one is expected not to vote for Pacheco: Senator Ivete da Silveira (SC), who said she prefers the Bolsonaro supporter Rogério Marinho (PL-RN).
There are betrayals in the PSD: Nelsinho Trad (MS), Lucas Barreto (AP) and Dr. Samuel Araújo (RO) are also going with Marinho.
Pacheco tells interlocutors that he has more than 50 votes. Marinho claims to have 34 guaranteed votes. The internal election is scheduled for this Wednesday (1st).
