Marina will announce her support for Aécio with conditions.

To avoid appearing inconsistent with her "new politics" motto, Marina Silva will propose a "programmatic agreement" to presidential candidate Aécio Neves that includes ending reelection, full-time education, and sustainability; she is also counting on the support of Eduardo Campos' widow (PSB), Renata Campos, to legitimize her change of direction; the former senator's running mate, Beto Albuquerque, has already said that he will be with Aécio and that "whoever plays dirty in the election" will not have his support; this Monday, the senator from Minas Gerais also signaled openness: "Our proposals are there and can always be improved."

247 - Marina Silva (PSB), who came in third in the presidential race, decided to support the PSDB presidential candidate Aécio Neves in the second round against President Dilma Rousseff. However, she previously indicated that her decision is contingent on changes to her platform to accommodate her causes, particularly her advocacy for ending reelection.

The "programmatic agreement" also provides for full-time education and sustainability, so as not to appear inconsistent with the position of its "new politics" motto.

The former candidate met with her main allies this Monday in São Paulo to discuss the alliance with the PSDB party. "The assessment is that we can't have another four years of this government. That's a settled point. Our commitment is to the movement for change," said João Paulo Capobianco.

Marina is also counting on Renata Campos' support for Aécio, the widow of Eduardo Campos, which would legitimize her change of sides. Contrary to the position of the president of the PSB, Roberto Amaral, the vice-presidential candidate for the former senator, Beto Albuquerque, has already said that he will support Aécio and that "whoever plays dirty in the election" will not have his support.

In an interview, Aécio indicated that he is willing to make concessions for Marina. "Our proposals are there and can always be improved."

The senator said he sees “absolute convergence” between several points of his government plan and that of the former senator: “I see in them (end of reelection, defense of sustainability and maintenance of advances achieved so far) and even in others absolute convergence with what we think and want for Brazil. And if you evaluate our programs you will find many more points of convergence than of divergence,” said Aécio, in São Paulo, this Monday (6).
