247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) approved the phased 18% salary increase for Supreme Federal Court (STF) ministers, raising their pay from the current R$39,3 to R$46,36 in February 2025. The measure was published in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of the Union this Tuesday (10).

The remuneration of the Supreme Court justices corresponds to the ceiling for public sector salaries and will have a ripple effect throughout the public sector. 

The adjustment will be granted as follows:

  • R$41.650,92 from April 1, 2023;
  • R$ 44.008,52 starting February 1, 2024;
  • R$ 46.366,19 starting February 1, 2025

Also receiving raises are the Attorney General of the Republic, the Federal Public Defender General, and employees of the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, the Federal Judiciary, the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, the National Council of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Federal Public Defender's Office, and the Federal Court of Accounts.
