Lula doesn't stop: he's already in Pernambuco.
After launching an agricultural plan in Bahia and speaking as a Messiah, he now lands in the capital of Pernambuco. His campaign is in full swing.
During a visit to Recife today, former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said that the crisis in the Ministry of Transport did not diminish his joy in visiting Pernambuco. "If there are allegations, investigate them. Investigate, punish whoever needs to be punished, and that's it," he said. Journalists were waiting for Lula at Dona Lindu Park, on Boa Viagem beach.
He was cheered, and before entering the Luis Mendonça Theater, where he was going to attend a concert by the Criança Cidadã orchestra, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary and paying tribute to the former president who supports the social project, Lula spent five minutes hugging the people and infants who were crowding around the barrier separating the audience.
Lula even held two children in his lap, one in each arm. When asked about his feelings upon returning to his homeland after leaving the Presidency, he stated: "Returning here is almost a natural thing. I missed it." A three-year-old boy, Tiago, who couldn't get close to the former president, cried in his mother's lap, Ana Maria Conceição da Silva, 38 years old. "I want to see Lula," the child repeated, his voice trembling, while his mother was prevented from attending to the boy due to the crowd of people separating her from Lula, preventing her from fulfilling the child's wish.
