Lula says Simone Tebet will have a place in the government and MDB should get three ministries.

MDB participation was discussed on Thursday (22), after Lula announced the name of a new group of ministers who will be part of the first tier of the future Lula government.

According to the report, Lula discussed the matter on Thursday afternoon (22), after the announcement of a new batch of ministers who will be part of the first tier of the future government, with the national president of the MDB, deputy Baleia Rossi (SP), senators Renan Calheiros (AL) and Eduardo Braga, as well as the party leader in the Chamber, Isnaldo Bulhões (AL).

"At the meeting, the president-elect guaranteed Simone Tebet a position in the first tier of government, according to sources within the new administration. After the PT party denied her the post she coveted, that of Social Development, Lula reportedly offered her the Ministry of Planning or the Ministry of the Environment. A decision on Simone's final choice is expected this Friday," the newspaper emphasizes.

According to Congressman Isnaldo Bulhões, it was also agreed that the MDB party would be responsible for nominating candidates for the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Cities. "The preferred candidate for Transport is Renan Filho, who had also been considered for Planning. Helder Barbalho will be consulted regarding the MDB's nomination from the Chamber of Deputies for Lula's team," the report emphasizes.
