Lula warns Lira: 'There will be no more ministerial reshuffles or new positions'
However, Lula also said that Lira may be right on some points, criticizing ministers Alexandre Padilha and Fernando Haddad for their role in the coordination.
247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sent a message to the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira, who recently made threats against the Executive branch and demanded 'respect from the government'.
'There will be no more ministerial reform and no more positions', Lula said in an interview with Rádio Itatiaia, this Thursday (8). He added that he will not 'interfere' in the election for president of the Chamber and the Senate.
Lula also said that Lira was speaking at the opening of the legislative year, on Monday (5), 'for his people'. 'He speaks in Congress like I speak in the union'.
According to Lula, Lira 'may be right' on some points. 'If the government made an agreement through Padilha or Haddad, we have to comply. When you don't comply, the result is more costly. I'm going to talk to him (Lira) to see what's going on.'
