247 - The PT leader in the Senate, Linbergh Farias (RJ), stated that "orchestrated maneuvers" are being observed against former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, imprisoned in Curitiba (PR). The parliamentarian called the latest actions of the Supreme Federal Court "scandalous," in which Minister Edson Fachin referred an appeal presented by the former president's defense to a panel of judges instead of the Second Chamber. The reports were published in Rebuildables.

According to the party leader in the Chamber, deputy Paulo Pimenta (RS), "what is happening is scandalous. We are seeing several maneuvers against Lula and the PT, but on the day determined by the Electoral Court, we will register the candidacy." Members of the PT in the Chamber and Senate participated this Tuesday (3) in a ceremony in which the national president of the PT, senator Gleisi Hoffmann (PR) read a letter from Lula reaffirming his presidential candidacy.
