Lindbergh: Bolsonaro challenged the Supreme Court once again, but then backed down.
The congressman points out that the former president once again defied the justice system.
247 - Federal deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) harshly criticized Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and his sons, after the release of a video of the former president with an electronic ankle bracelet during the event on Avenida Paulista, this Sunday (3). “They wanted to defy the Justice system, pose as brave men, confront the Supreme Court. But the repercussions were enough to instill fear: Flávio ran and deleted the video, claiming 'legal uncertainty'. They tried to play the role of lawbreakers. They ended up as always: cowards, ashamed, erasing their tracks.”, said the MP.
The video, posted on Flávio Bolsonaro's social media accounts, showed Jair Bolsonaro participating remotely in the demonstration, in blatant violation of the Supreme Federal Court's (STF) precautionary measure prohibiting the use of social media, including through third parties. After the negative reaction, the senator deleted the post.
Sunday's demonstrations took place in 62 cities, in defense of the former president and against the Supreme Federal Court (STF), and included calls for amnesty for those investigated for the coup attempts of January 8th. The demonstrations also featured direct attacks on Minister Alexandre de Moraes. In Brasília, the protest on the Eixão Sul avenue included sound trucks and fiery speeches. In Rio de Janeiro, the demonstration in Copacabana was attended by Flávio Bolsonaro, who climbed onto a sound truck to thank supporters. Michelle Bolsonaro participated in the demonstration in Belém (PA), while Carlos Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), a pre-candidate for the Senate in Santa Catarina, was in Criciúma alongside Congressman Daniel Freitas (PL-SC).
