PSL leader asks Bolsonaro to put an end to attacks from 'guru' Olavo.
The leader of the PSL party in the Chamber of Deputies, Congressman Delegado Waldir (GO), defended the military, who were harshly attacked by astrologer Olavo de Carvalho, guru of President Jair Bolsonaro, in a video he published during Easter; "The most absurd thing is a 'guru' who lives in the USA attacking the government and the military. The president (Bolsonaro) cannot be at the mercy of these people and accept the opinion of the 'madman of the day'," he said; "The government needs to stop discussing the 'sex of angels' with a futurist who lives in the USA," he added.
247 - The leader of the PSL party in the Chamber of Deputies, Congressman Delegado Waldir (GO), defended the military, who were harshly attacked by astrologer Olavo de Carvalho, guru of President Jair Bolsonaro, in a video he published during Easter. "The most absurd thing is a 'guru' who lives in the US attacking the government and the military. The president (Bolsonaro) cannot be at the mercy of these people and accept the opinion of the 'madman of the day'," said the congressman in an interview with Rádio Eldorado.
According to him, President Jair Bolsonaro needs to "put an end to this astrologer, who is in charge of two ministries (referring to the Ministers of Education and Foreign Affairs who were appointed by Olavo de Carvalho), because people want Education, Health, and Security."
"Enough with the ideology discussions. Everyone expects that from Brazil. We need to take a step forward, generate jobs. I'm a staunch Bolsonaro supporter, but the government needs to stop discussing trivial matters with a futurist who lives in the US. This is utterly absurd," he exclaimed.
In the interview, Waldir also criticized the government's political maneuvering, led by the Minister of the Civil House, Onyx Lorenzoni. "The PSL has been doing its part, but it's not to blame if Onyx hasn't created a base. I've been saying for a long time that the government doesn't have a base in Congress," the congressman emphasized.
