247 - President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is expected to meet with José Múcio Monteiro, former president of the TCU and former Minister of Political Articulation during Lula's second term, to invite him to take over the Ministry of Defense. The conversation between them is expected to take place this Monday (28) and the expectation is that Múcio will accept Lula's invitation to be Minister of Defense in his third term.
"Múcio had already met with Aloizio Mercadante and Gleisi Hoffmann this month. He was sounded out about the position. He didn't show interest in returning to the public sector (he left the TCU on December 31st of last year).
