Marina leads Aécio by 10 points in the first round and would beat Dilma in the second round, says Ibope.
SAO PAULO (Reuters) - The first Ibope poll with Marina Silva officially in the presidential race showed the PSB candidate with 29 percent of voting intentions, 10 percentage points ahead of Aécio Neves (PSB), who has 19 percent, and close to the leader Dilma Rousseff (PT), with 34 percent.
The poll, released Tuesday on the website of the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo, shows Marina with even more strength than in last week's Datafolha poll, when she had 21 percent, in a technical tie with Aécio, with 20 percent, but well behind Dilma, who had 36 percent.
In a simulated second-round election by Ibope, Marina would beat Dilma by 45 to 36 percent. If the contest were between the president and the PSDB candidate, Dilma would win by 41 to 35 percent.
The survey's margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
