Ibope poll: Dilma advances in the first round and ties in the second.

247 - A new Ibope poll released this Tuesday, the 23rd, indicates growth for President Dilma Rousseff (PT), a one-point drop for Marina Silva (PSB), and stagnation for Aécio Neves (PSDB). The survey was commissioned by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, which previously released the numbers, and by TV Globo.

According to the poll, the PT candidate seeking re-election has 38% of the voting intentions (compared to 36% in the previous poll). She has a nine-point lead over her PSB opponent, who has 29% (compared to 30% last week). Aécio Neves, from the PSDB party, remained at 19%, the same percentage as in the last poll.

In a simulated second-round election between Dilma and Marina, the two candidates appear tied with 41% of voter preference. In the previous survey, Marina was ahead of Dilma, with 43%, compared to 40% for the Workers' Party candidate. Between Dilma and Aécio, the president would be re-elected with 46% of the votes, and Aécio would have 35%.

Among the "minor" candidates, Pastor Everaldo, from the PSC party, was the only one to obtain 1% of the voting intentions, while the other candidates, together, registered 2%. Undecided voters represent 5% of those interviewed, and 7% stated that they will vote blank or null.

Positive evaluations of Dilma's government rose from 37% to 39%, while there was no change, based on the latest survey, among those who consider the PT president's administration to be average (33%) and bad or very bad (28%).

The survey was conducted between September 20th and 22nd in 296 municipalities, where 3.010 voters were interviewed. The margin of error is two percentage points, plus or minus, and the confidence level is 95%.

The latest Ibope poll, released today (23), showed a slight advance for candidate Dilma Rousseff (PT) in the race for the Presidency of the Republic. Aécio Neves (PSDB), who had gained four points in the last poll, remained at 19%. In a projected second-round scenario with the PSDB candidate, Dilma would have 46% against 35%. The difference increased compared to the last poll, when seven points separated the two candidates. While Dilma had 44%, Aécio reached 37%.

The PSC candidate, Pastor Everaldo, had 1% of the voting intentions, the same as in the last poll. Luciana Genro (PSOL), Eduardo Jorge (PV), Zé Maria (PSTU), Eymael (PSDC), Levy Fidelix (PRTB), Mauro Iasi (PCB), and Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO) together have 2%. Null or blank votes total 7%, and undecided voters are at 5%.

Ibope interviewed 3.010 voters in 296 municipalities across the country between September 20th and 22nd. The confidence level is 95%. The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under protocol BR-00755/2014.
