247 - The coup attempts of January 8th, which mark one month this Wednesday, have worsened the situation of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), who is surrounded by investigations into suspected links to the coup attempt. Bolsonaro is seriously threatened with losing his political rights and even being arrested.

Report published this Wednesday in FSP It highlights that "the attack on the headquarters of the three branches of government in Brasília reinforced the Workers' Party's assessment of Bolsonaro's infiltration into the Armed Forces and other bodies of the national security apparatus."

On Tuesday (7), Lula said that "regrettably the Army of Caxias was transformed into the Army of Bolsonaro".

After the attempted coup of January 8th, Lula dismissed the Army commander, General Júlio Cesar de Arruda, who was replaced by General Tomás Miguel Miné Ribeiro Paiva. Days before his appointment, Paiva delivered a forceful speech defending institutional order, calling for respect for the election results, and reaffirming the Army as an apolitical and non-partisan entity.

Lula has intensified his rhetoric against the politicization of the Armed Forces, stating that state careers cannot be transformed into "political parties," and directly blamed Bolsonaro for the coup attempts.

"This citizen orchestrated the coup," the president said in an interview last week. "I am certain that Bolsonaro actively participated in it and is still trying to participate."
