Grazziotin: Parliamentary Inquiry Commission will open the Pandora's box of Petrobras' pricing policy.

In an interview with TV 247 this Monday, the 4th, Senator Vanessa Grazziotin (PCdoB-AM) highlighted the importance of establishing a CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) in the Senate to "open the black box of Petrobras to deeply understand the fuel pricing policy"; "We already have enough signatures to approve the CPI, we want access to the data and numbers related to the state-owned company," she explains; for her, "it is unacceptable when Temer only lowers the price of diesel and maintains daily increases in the prices of gasoline and cooking gas, he is only postponing the explosion of the crisis."

TV 247 - Senator Vanessa Grazziotin (PCdoB-AM) gave an interview to TV 247 this Monday (4) explaining the importance of installing a Petrobras CPI in the Federal Senate. The parliamentarian assures that "it is necessary to open the black box of Petrobras to understand the fuel pricing policy in depth".

Grazziotin argues that the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) should last 30 days and "have a technical character." "We already have enough signatures to approve the CPI; we want access to the data and figures related to the state-owned company," he explains.

The senator describes the country's current political moment as "a tug-of-war." "On one side, the government says that Petrobras is a publicly traded company and cannot generate losses for its shareholders, but Petrobras is a state-owned company and must be managed according to the nation's needs, not just market rules," condemns Vanessa Grazziotin.

She criticizes the approach used by Michel Temer to reduce the price of diesel, cutting resources and not altering Petrobras' pricing policy. "It's unacceptable when Temer only lowers the price of diesel while maintaining daily increases in gasoline and cooking gas; he's only postponing the explosion of the crisis," she argues.

She explains the real reasons behind the dismantling of the state-owned company. "In short, Temer is taking resources from the people to serve multinational corporations. The truly corrupt want to weaken Petrobras in order to privatize it; that's the real reason for the coup d'état, but we are firmly fighting for the approval of the Petrobras Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry," she concludes.
