Government reinforces security at Alvorada Palace.

At Dilma Rousseff's official residence, manual barriers were replaced by hydraulically operated barriers, activated by remote control, which cost R$ 737,5 to public coffers. The project was included in an electronic bidding process in December 2012, but coincides with the wave of protests that swept the country in recent months.

247 – Security at the entrance to the Alvorada Palace, the official residence of President Dilma Rousseff, has been reinforced. Manual barriers installed during Lula's administration have been replaced by hydraulic pins, operated by remote control, which cost R$ 737.500 to public coffers.

According to the Institutional Security Office (GSI), the installation speeds up the entry and exit of vehicles. However, control of people entering the Palace will continue to be done through individual identification.

The project was awarded through an electronic bidding process in December 2012, but it coincides with the wave of protests that swept the country in recent months and with the drop in approval ratings for the Dilma government. The winning company was Indústrias Rossi Eletromecânica.
