According to information from the newspaper State of São Paulo, This total comprises 235 cases that began their proceedings directly in the Supreme Federal Court (STF), and another 105 appeals – that is, those that came from other courts or tribunals. One of the cases that will pass into the hands of the new minister involves the final conclusions of the Senate's Covid CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) and has Jair Bolsonaro as one of its targets. The former president was accused by the commission of inciting crime because he allegedly encouraged the population to gather in crowds, not wear masks, and not get vaccinated. At the time, the Attorney General's Office refuted the commission's conclusions.
