The Workers' Party released the two national broadcasts that will air, on national television, starting this Saturday night (22). The videos feature former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and president Dilma Rousseff.

"I know the situation isn't easy. But Brazil is too big to be scared by an economic crisis, however serious it may be," said Lula.

"We've had many crises, some far worse than the current one. And the Brazilian people have always known how to overcome them. I have no doubt that we will overcome this one too," the former president added.

President Dilma acknowledged that much still needs to improve in the country. "Many Brazilians are suffering, but together we will get through this. We are in a year of transition. And this transition will lead Brazil to a better place," the president assured.
