In a statement, the government denies suspicions about the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry).

"Regarding what has been published in the press concerning the Petrobras CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry), the Secretariat of Institutional Relations informs that it did not prepare questions for use by senators in said CPI. When questioned, advisor Paulo Argenta guarantees that he never prepared questions that would be asked during the testimonies in said CPI," says a statement released by Minister Ricardo Berzoini, who heads the aforementioned department.

247 – In a statement from Minister Ricardo Berzoini, who heads the Secretariat of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic, the government expressed its opposition to suspicions raised by a Veja magazine report this past weekend that were aimed at weakening the Petrobras CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry).

According to the magazine's report, officials linked to the PT leadership in the Senate and the Secretariat of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic instructed former Petrobras directors on the questions that would be asked by members of the Petrobras Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry.
