By William De Lucca – Pre-candidate for president Ciro Gomes (PDT) met this Tuesday morning (17) with the national leadership of the PCdoB, in Recife. Ciro, who is fulfilling agendas in the Northeast during this week, spoke with the national president of the party, federal deputy Luciana Santos and with Renato Rabelo, former president of the communist party. The former mayor of Olinda, Renildo Calheiros, also participated in the conversation.

"I informed my colleagues in the PCdoB of all the latest steps I have taken towards building the foundations of a new national development project. I heard from them again their emphasis on the unity of the progressive camp," the Labor candidate said on his Twitter account.

Seeking support from the communists, Ciro praised the PCdoB's pre-candidate for president, Manuela D'Ávila. "I am very grateful for this opportunity and once again I congratulate them on the brilliant performance of their pre-candidate for the presidency of the republic," he concluded.
