247 - Federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) defended, during an interview on the Irmão Dias podcast, the "right to deny the Holocaust and found Nazi parties" under the banner of freedom of expression. This Wednesday, the congressman was elected president of the Chamber's Education Committee.

In the released video, Nikolas justifies his position by stating that "it's better not to ban these 'opinions'." However, he did not cite the source of the study that supported his argument.

The appointment of Nikolas Ferreira to lead the Education Committee has sparked concerns and criticism from various sectors of society, who view his defense of extremist positions with suspicion, especially in an educational context.
