Metropolis - President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) again lamented, this Saturday (March 12), the fuel price increase announced by Petrobras and declared that the company has no sensitivity towards Brazilians. The president also said that he will instruct the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, to notify gas stations that do not reduce prices at the pumps.

"In short, yesterday [March 11th] Petrobras increased its price by R$ 0,90. I regret it, it could have stayed that way for another day. Petrobras demonstrates that it has no sensitivity whatsoever towards the population; it's Petrobras Football Club and the rest can go to hell," Bolsonaro said during a walk in Luziânia, Goiás.

Bolsonaro highlighted that, if he had waited, “instead of announcing yesterday a R$ 0,90 increase in diesel, he could have announced R$ 0,30, with this law approved now, sanctioned, from today R$ 0,60 less per liter of diesel”. According to calculations by the Ministry of Economy, the impact will be R$ 0,33 per liter of diesel in relation to PIS/Cofins and R$ 0,27 in relation to ICMS.
