247 -  Federal Deputy Sâmia Bomfim (Psol-SP) filed information requests with the Ministries of Defense and Communications seeking clarification on the case of the Minister of Communications, Juscelino Filho, who is facing criticism following accusations of possible misuse of a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane and public funds for off-the-record per diem payments between January 26 and 30. The requests are co-signed by Psol deputies Chico Alencar (RJ), Fernanda Melchionna (RS), Pastor Henrique Vieira (RJ), Luiza Erundina (SP), and Célia Xakriabá (MG).

The group points to the need for clarification "in light of a clear public expenditure with a purpose that, it seems, does not meet the objectives of the Ministry of Communications or, furthermore, does not have the public motivation inherent in acts of government."

Chico Alencar and Sâmia Bomfim also decided to file a request with the Superior Electoral Court for an investigation against Juscelino.

On Tuesday (28), PL deputies filed a request to summon Juscelino to provide clarifications to the Chamber about the case of the use of the official plane for a trip to a horse auction in São Paulo.

Amid pressure for his dismissal from office, Juscelino reported that he had returned the per diem money he received to cover travel expenses.
