247 - The informant Idalberto Martins, known as Dadá, didn't only operate in the underworld of political and corporate espionage. He also tried to gain influence in IT-related bidding processes that interested the illegal gambling operator Carlos Cachoeira and Senator Demóstenes Torres. Dadá even approached the former president of Infraero, José Carlos Pereira, claiming to be an employee of Senator Demóstenes. "Dadá told me he worked for him," Pereira told the newspaper O Globo.

Between 2008 and 2011, the informant, who also belonged to the Air Force, had 20 meetings with Brigadier Pereira. The conversations began when there was a Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the air traffic control crisis, which had Demóstenes as one of the main organizers in Congress. Dadá approached him and soon began seeking information about tenders in the IT sector. Until the day the former president of Infraero lost his patience. "I told Dadá: tell Demóstenes that there will be no tenders," declared Pereira.

Cachoeira and the senator also discussed possible business deals at Infraero, in conversations intercepted by the Federal Police. Both the illegal gambling operator and the wiretapper have been in jail since February 29th.
