247 - Suspended congressman and former Speaker of the House Eduardo Cunha (PMDB-RJ) denied on Twitter that he is preparing a dossier with accusations against allies and former allies to use in a possible plea bargain within the scope of Operation Lava Jato. He also said he will sue the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo and the journalists responsible for the article containing the information about the dossier.

"I did not create and do not intend to create a dossier on anyone, and I do not operate in that small field that the irresponsible gossip article tries to portray," he posted. "Regarding the irresponsible gossip, I want to vehemently deny the entire article," he wrote. According to him, the article's objective is "to create a climate of threat and solely to embarrass those who support me."

The report indicates that several parliamentarians commented that Cunha was preparing a dossier with information about the financing of electoral campaigns, as well as the scheme for distributing positions and loans.

On Twitter, Cunha also said he had warned journalists that the news was false. "I vehemently denied it and stated that the irresponsible publication, especially without citing the source, deserved legal action from me," he posted. "That's what I'll have to do. I will be forced to sue," he announced. "In court, the reporters will have the opportunity to prove their lies," he challenged.
