The CPI spares Delta and Pagot, and summons Andressa and 9 others.

Carlinhos Cachoeira's wife is among the 10 names summoned this Thursday by the commission investigating the gambling kingpin's relationship with those in power; the list includes journalist Carlos Bordoni, who claims to have received R$ 40 from Marconi Perillo, and Lúcio Fiúza, former advisor to the politician.

247 – Led by the PT (Workers' Party), the members of the Cachoeira Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI) have chosen to spare, for now, Fernando Cavendish, the owner of the Delta construction company, one of the pillars of the Cachoeira scheme, and the former director-general of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), Luiz Antônio Pagot, who has been challenging the commission to summon him. But there will be no shortage of people to testify before the CPI in the coming days, since the summoning of 10 people was approved at once, including Carlinhos Cachoeira's wife and the CPI's muse, Andressa Mendonça.

It was in a symbolic vote, at the end of Thursday's hearing, that the commission approved the summoning of people mentioned in the investigations of the Monte Carlo and Vegas operations, by the Federal Police, which revealed the gambling boss's dealings with politicians and businessmen. The date for each deposition will still be defined by the president of the CPI, Vital do Rêgo (PMDB-PB).

Besides Andressa, journalist Carlos Bordoni is among the future witnesses before the commission. Bordoni claims to have received R$ 40 from Marconi Perillo for services rendered during his 2010 campaign for governor of Goiás. Another who will testify is Marconi's former advisor, Lúcio Fiúza, whose tax, banking, and telephone records were broken by the CPI – he is mentioned in recordings of wiretapped phone conversations made by the Federal Police between members of Cachoeira's group.

The commission also approved the lifting of confidentiality restrictions on the clothing company Excitant, which issued the three checks, totaling R$ 1,4 million, used to pay for the sale of Marconi's house, where Cachoeira was arrested in February. The companies Rental Frota Logística, GM Comércio de Pneus e Peças, Faculdade Padrão, and Mestra Administração e Participações also had their confidentiality restrictions lifted. The tax, banking, and telephone confidentiality of four other companies were also lifted.

Check out the names of all those summoned this Thursday: Andressa Mendonça, Carlos Bordoni, Lúcio Fiúza, Hillner Ananias, João Furtado de Mendonça Neto, Alcino de Souza, Rubmaier Ferreira de Carvalho, Ana Cardozo de Lorenzo, Aredes Correia Pires and Alexandre Milhomem. Of these, Lúcio Fiúza, Alcino de Souza and Rubmaier Ferreira de Carvalho had their tax, banking and telephone secrecy broken, along with André Teixeira Jorge.
