247 - In a display of desperation, the PDT presidential candidate, Ciro Gomes, lied that Lula attacks him every day.
“Stop insulting and attacking me, as you do every day. Do you know what you're achieving? You're making the good people hate the PT. The good people are the most politically aware. They are very prepared, very politically aware people, whom I will try to respect and guide at all times so that Brazil can change history. If I don't succeed, this activism will know how to vote. But you and your hate cabinet, while you maintain this charade – 'Lulinha peace and love' – dishonest and corrupt as you are, what you are doing is spreading a lot of anger among our activists. Stop while there's still time and admit that you elected Bolsonaro,” he declared.
Lula publicly praised Ciro Gomes during the Bandeirantes debate, and was also attacked in front of millions of viewers. There hasn't been a single attack on Ciro Gomes coming from the PT candidate.
Polls indicate that Ciro Gomes' attacks have benefited Jair Bolsonaro.
"Datafolha has a crazy statistic. The second voting option for Ciro's voters, Bolsonaro, has grown from 20% (August), 24% (September 1st) to 30% (now). Leonel Brizola would be furious with the PDT becoming more Bolsonaro-like under Ciro's leadership," wrote journalist and writer Marcelo Rubens Paiva this Sunday.
Digital influencers like rocker Tico Santa Cruz are already indicating that they may vote for Lula in the first round, as the only alternative to defeat Bolsonaro and avoid a bloody election in Brazil.
Fábio Porchat also stated that if Ciro's campaign didn't take off, he would wear red and press the number 13 thirteen times on October 2nd.
From what I've demonstrated, it's not hatred towards Ciro, it's love for Brazil.
