Boulos pays tribute to all the victims and says that "organized crime is not in the shantytown" after the massacre in Rio.
Boulos was sworn in as Chief Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency this Wednesday.
247 - Upon taking office, this Wednesday (29), as Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Guilherme Boulos (Psol), formerly a federal deputy, asked those present at the event, in Brasília-DF, to pay tribute to the victims of the police operation in Rio de Janeiro, which took place the day before, and resulted in at least 119 deaths.
"I would like to ask for a minute of silence for all the victims of the operation, police officers, residents, all of them," said Boulos at the event in Brasília.
He added: "President Lula knows that the head of organized crime isn't in a shack in a favela; often it's right there on Faria Lima." Boulos was referring to Operation Hidden Carbon, a Federal Police operation that targeted PCC leaders in the upscale São Paulo neighborhood.
