Bolsonaro once again shows he will do nothing to curb rising fuel prices.
On Thursday (March 10), Petrobras announced an increase of 18,8% in gasoline and 24,9% in diesel at refineries; the price increase is already being passed on to consumers.
Metropolises - President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) once again criticized Petrobras' international parity policy and the recent fuel price adjustment this Saturday (March 12), but stated that he will not interfere in the state-owned company.
“I have a policy of not interfering, knowing Petrobras' legal obligations. For me, personally speaking, it's an absurd profit that Petrobras is making at this atypical moment in the world. So, to say that I am satisfied with the [fuel] price adjustment, I am not satisfied with the adjustment, but I will not interfere in the market,” declared Bolsonaro, after the PL's membership drive in Brasília this Saturday.
