247 - Communicator Gustavo Conde reports via Twitter that at the behest of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), the governor of São Paulo, Rodrigo Garcia (PSDB), is pressuring TV Cultura to remove Vera Magalhães from moderating the debate next Sunday (16).

During the first electoral debate, held by TV Bandeirantes, Bolsonaro attacked the journalist: "Vera, I couldn't expect anything else from you. I think you sleep thinking about me. You have some kind of crush on me. You can't take sides in a debate like this, making false accusations about me. You are a disgrace to journalism."

In a statement, TV Cultura confirmed the journalist's participation. "Regarding the information published this Monday morning (10), that the journalist and presenter of Roda Viva, Vera Magalhães, might not participate in the pool debate with candidates for the Presidency of the Republic next Sunday (10/16), at the request of Governor Rodrigo Garcia, TV Cultura clarifies that the information is totally false," says the broadcaster.

"TV Cultura does not experience any governmental interference, either in its journalism or programming. The station values its autonomy, independent of governments or political parties," Cultura added.
