247 - The Supreme Federal Court (STF), judging the legality of the fake news inquiry, has already formed a majority this Wednesday (17), with 6 votes, for the continuation of the process. No minister has opposed the inquiry so far.

The ministers Edson Fachin, the case's rapporteur, Alexandre de Moraes, Luís Roberto Barroso, Rosa Weber, Luiz Fux, and Cármen Lúcia have already voted.

The investigation is looking into threats against Supreme Court justices and the dissemination of false content on the internet.

The validity of the inquiry has been questioned because the investigation is being conducted by the Supreme Federal Court itself, and not by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
