From Agência Brasil - The Senate plenary will decide, this Wednesday (22), whether to approve the nomination of jurist Alexandre de Moraes to the position of minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The vote, scheduled to begin at 11 am (Brasília time), is the last stage of the process. Before the vote, Moraes was submitted, on Tuesday (21), to a hearing in the House's Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ). If the approval is confirmed, Moraes will fill the vacancy left by Teori Zavascki, who died in a plane crash in Paraty (RJ) in January of this year, and will be the 27th minister of the STF in the democratic period.
