247 - Minister Nísia Trindade (Health) officially left her post this Monday (10), and, in her speech at the Planalto Palace, lamented having been the target of a broad "misogynistic" campaign. She called for the construction of a policy with more respect for women.

"Although I feel predominantly satisfied for having served Lula and the country, I cannot forget the systematic and misogynistic campaign against my work. I do not accept this political behavior as natural. We must build a policy with respect for women," said the outgoing minister at the ceremony handing over the position to Alexandre Padilha, formerly at the Secretariat of Institutional Relations.

In turn, Padilha will be replaced by Gleisi Hoffmann, a federal deputy who recently left the presidency of the PT (Workers' Party). In his speech, he highlighted the role of international organizations, such as the WHO, in Brazil. The organization is the target of attacks from the United States government, which withdrew from it.

Throughout her time in the ministry, Nísia was the target of pressure from the Centrão bloc, which sees the Ministry of Health as a major source of funding for parliamentary amendments.
