247 - The new political coordinator of the government, Vice President Michel Temer, stated this Wednesday, the 8th, that former Speaker of the House of Representatives Henrique Eduardo Alves (PMDB-RN) will "surely" be appointed minister.

Temer did not mention the ministry, but Alves is being considered for the Tourism portfolio. "We will examine this calmly and resolve it because, after all, the government doesn't belong to one person, it belongs to everyone. Everyone has to participate," he said.

The president of the PMDB also announced that the government will begin appointing allies to second-tier positions. He added that the parties supporting the government have agreed to sign a document committing to not voting on proposals that result in increased spending or reduced revenue.

According to Temer, the tensions between the PT and PMDB parties must be resolved. "It's not the PT and PMDB that are at stake. What's at stake is the allied base. The entire base must be reunified around the government's projects and assisting in those projects," he stated.
