247 - The president of the National Congress, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), decided to activate the Ethics Council of the Chamber of Deputies and file legal and criminal charges against federal deputy Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO). The measure was taken after the parliamentarian published an offensive message on the social network X (formerly Twitter) that mentioned Alcolumbre, the Minister of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations, Gleisi Hoffmann (PT-PR), and the leader of the PT in the Chamber, deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ). "The image of @Gleisi, @lindberghfarias and @davialcolumbre in a threesome came to mind. What a nightmare," wrote Gayer. The information was published by the newspaper O Globo.

The Workers' Party (PT) also reacted to Gayer's statements and announced that it will request the deputy's removal from office by the Ethics Committee and will contact the Attorney General's Office (PGR) to investigate the parliamentarian for misogynistic attacks against the minister. In previous publications, Gayer had referred to the PT member as a "GP" (prostitute), which generated widespread outrage.

The controversy gained momentum after President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) made a comment about Gleisi's physical appearance during a negotiation with Congress, referring to her as a "beautiful woman." The statement was criticized for highlighting personal characteristics instead of her professional skills. Despite this, the minister downplayed the episode and defended Lula, stating that the president "has always been respectful." Gayer, however, took advantage of the situation to attack the Workers' Party member, repeating offensive and misogynistic remarks.

The case is expected to proceed to the Ethics Committee for analysis, where Gayer could face charges of breach of parliamentary decorum. Meanwhile, the legal actions promised by Alcolumbre are expected to include lawsuits for moral damages and defamation. The post by the congressman from Goiás has already been widely criticized by parliamentary colleagues and internet users, who classified the comment as disrespectful and inappropriate.
