Aécio shuts down "airport" and only talks about Brazil.

Brazilian presidential candidate Aécio Neves wants to put an end to the accusations regarding the construction of an airport in the city of Cláudio (MG), during his time as governor of the state; according to him, the matter has already been duly clarified; "Regarding this matter, I have already given all the clarifications I deemed necessary. If they want to talk about Brazil, I am here," he said; he also reiterated his criticism of President Dilma Rousseff, his rival in the October election, saying that the government "has lost the ability to generate positive expectations" among businesspeople.

247 - While campaigning alongside the governor of São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), candidate Aécio Neves (PSDB/MG) stated that he had already provided all the necessary clarifications regarding the construction and use of the airport built in Cláudio (MG) when he was governor of the state. "On this matter, I have already given all the clarifications I deemed necessary. If you want to talk about Brazil, I am here," he said. He also reiterated his criticism of the economy, emphasizing that the government of President Dilma Rousseff (PT), his rival in the October election, "has lost the ability to generate positive expectations" in the economic and financial markets.

"There's one essential thing in economics: expectations. These assessments show that the current government has lost the ability to generate positive expectations, both among internal and external agents," said Aécio. The statement came in the wake of an article published by Folha de São Paulo where national and international analysts point out that Dilma will be defeated by the PSDB candidate in the presidential elections.

Aécio, who was in São Paulo this Saturday (26), along with the governor and candidate for re-election, Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), to fulfill a series of campaign commitments, avoided going into detail regarding the accusations about the construction and use of an airport in the Minas Gerais city of Cláudio, at the time when he was governor of the State. "On this subject I have already given all the clarifications that I considered necessary. If they want to talk about Brazil, I am here," he pointed out.

Regarding the composition of the state political platform in São Paulo, where the PSDB is allied with the PSB, Governor Geraldo Alckmin backtracked on his statement made this week that he might campaign for presidential candidate Eduardo Campos (PSB). "Those who are from the PSB will support their candidate, Eduardo Campos, and those who are from the PSDB will support Aécio Neves, who is my presidential candidate," he declared.
