247 - In his first reaction after the advance in the Datafolha poll registered by the potential PSB presidential candidate, Marina Silva, the PSDB presidential candidate Aécio Neves stated this Monday, the 18th, that the moment calls for "competent, safe, and courageous" change. Aécio reinforced the idea that the PSDB is the only party to have a governing alternative to the PT administration.

"The PSDB has an alternative and competent proposal, which has been under construction since the beginning of last year through many trips, listening to the population, and in conversations. The PT's lessons learned in government have been costly for Brazil," said the PSDB candidate, during a meeting attended by more than 130 politicians, including the president of PSDB-RJ, state deputy Luiz Paulo Correa da Rocha.

Aécio asked his supporters to maintain their confidence in defending what 70% of the Brazilian population is asking for: change. According to him, in his conversations during trips to various cities in the country, the request he hears most often is that the candidate of the "Change Brazil" Coalition restore the credibility of society.

"[We have to] roll up our sleeves and get to work. Let each of you be my voice, with the same courage and determination to change Brazil, to multiply our forces. We will create an efficient, ethical government, bold in its public policies. We have qualified people, planning, and experience."

"People want to believe in something. And after we take over the government, it will become clear to everyone how bad the PT is. It will become clear how much time we wasted. We are building a project for the country, not for power. We will accentuate the differences with the current model. A political party must serve the Brazilian state," he said.

Aécio stated that the comparison between the proposals of the "Change Brazil" Coalition and the PT (Workers' Party) is evident. "The PT put the State at the service of its power project. Brazil needs an honorable and efficient project like ours. Our government will take care of the people; of health, public transportation, the crack epidemic that is devastating families, all with courage and competence," he emphasized.
