The 100th day since Lula's imprisonment is the most discussed topic on Twitter in Brazil.
The political imprisonment of former president Lula reaches 100 days and is harshly criticized by activists, journalists, and progressive politicians on Twitter; posts say that the conviction of the Workers' Party leader occurred without evidence and that he is being persecuted by the Brazilian judiciary.
By William De Lucca – The hashtag #100DaysOfInjustice, which commemorates the 100 days of former President Lula's imprisonment, was the most discussed topic on Twitter in Brazil on Tuesday morning (17). Politicians from the progressive field, left-wing activists and journalists spoke about the subject, criticizing the political and arbitrary imprisonment of the PT member.
The PT's presidential candidate himself spoke out about the injustice he has been suffering, through a message sent to his Twitter profile.
“I have already been imprisoned for 100 days. I await proof that I committed any crime, or that the apartment in Guarujá was mine. I appreciate the solidarity of those who are holding a vigil in Curitiba or who have demonstrated across the country,” he said.
Federal Deputy Leo de Brito (PT-AC) emphasized that Lula is a political prisoner and that he was convicted without evidence. "Lula's election at the polls will represent the victory of a people against arbitrariness and the triumph of democracy against those who want to destroy it," the congressman stated.
“Lula is imprisoned because he would have been re-elected president if he were free. This makes him a political prisoner. This scenario is part of the coup, of the state of exception in which we live,” said Lola Aronovich, a professor at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and feminist activist.

Do you know why Lula is imprisoned and illegally prevented from running in the elections? Because we are going to revoke:
