How to increase your IQ (Intelligence Quotient)?

Many people think it's impossible to increase their IQ. Others, having performed well on intelligence tests, believe they possess a rare gift.

But here's an uncomfortable (and liberating) truth: your IQ test score doesn't define your intelligence – much less your future. Having a below-average IQ, for example, doesn't mean you're stupid or incapable. These tests only measure one form of intelligence: logic. But is that all that matters? And, ultimately, how can you improve your IQ and become more intelligent? If this question also plagues you, here are 4 valuable pieces of advice. And the first one starts inside your head...

1 – Grow continuously: your intelligence depends on your evolution.

Nelson Mandela said: "There is no passion in living small — in settling for a life smaller than the one you are capable of living." I agree 100%.

Life is a gift — and unfortunately, many waste this gift living on autopilot, repeating routines and limiting beliefs. If this is your case, think carefully: do you really want to reach the end of your life saying "I could have done more, but I didn't think I was smart enough."?

The truth is You can build the life you want....as long as you're willing to step outside your comfort zone. Read books from different fields, explore new subjects, participate in events and personal development courses like... Destination Success (or similar in Brazil). The key is keep moving.

I speak from personal experience: I achieved a good portion of my dreams before I turned 30. And no, I I'm not smarter than anyone else.The secret? I never stopped growing. And you, are you ready to grow too?

2 – Adopt a growth mindset, not a fixed mindset.

Have you ever heard of a "fixed mindset" versus a "growth mindset"? Many people carry the idea, from childhood, that Intelligence is something you either have or you don't have.But that idea is false — and dangerous.

The IQ test, created by Alfred Binet, was initially designed to help children with learning difficulties. Binet himself said: "The test doesn't measure pure intelligence, but the ability to learn." In other words, The goal of IQ testing was to help people evolve — not to label them.

The problem is that the concept ended up being misinterpreted. Today, many believe that having a high IQ is synonymous with being superior. But intelligence is not a straight line. We have multiple intelligences: emotional, creative, intuitive, social…

And they all matter. To be happy, Having a high IQ isn't enough.It's necessary to know how to deal with people, with frustrations, with changes, with dreams. This can be learned, yes. But only if you... believe that you can learn.

3 – Study geniuses and see what they really have in common.

Einstein, Da Vinci, Michelangelo… Do you think they were born geniuses? Of course, we all have natural talents. But talent alone. not enough.

Most of history's geniuses It didn't start out being admired.Michael Jordan, for example, was cut from his high school team because his level was considered low. Instead of giving up, he trained all summer. When he returned, he was accepted. And the rest… you know.

Is this luck? Destiny? Giftedness? None of that. Jordan achieved what he achieved. because I had a growth mindsetHe believed he could evolve — and He paid the price for his effort.

If you study these people closely, you will see a pattern: discipline, curiosity, resilience. And all of this is within anyone's reach.

4 – Stop making excuses: you are more capable than you think.

Now you might be thinking:

  • "I'm not smart enough to change careers."
  • "I'm not smart enough to be an entrepreneur."
  • "I don't have the emotional intelligence to have a healthy relationship."

But the truth is: Those are excuses. Excuses you tell yourself to avoid acting. But guess what? You can change. You can learn. You can evolve.

Want an example? Imagine you need to lose 10 kilos and someone puts a gun to your head saying that if you don't, something bad will happen. Would you find a way? Yes. Because fear would make you act. But… Why wait until desperation strikes before making a change?

You can start now. And this applies to:

  • Increase your income;
  • Changing professions;
  • To lose weight;
  • To have a better relationship;
  • Developing a new talent.

Everything is trainable. Yes, you have to pay the price: read more, step outside your comfort zone, surround yourself with good mentors, invest time and energy. Nobody said it would be easy — only that... it is worth it.

In short…

If you want to increase your IQ — or any other form of intelligence — the first step is to change your mindset. With the right mindsetYou can learn, grow, reinvent yourself. You can become smarter, more creative, and more emotionally strong.

TIt all starts with your state of mind.
