This video shows the entire evolution of the universe, which has lasted 14 billion years so far. Each second of the video actually corresponds to 22 million years. From the primordial cloud to the first stars, from the formation of galaxies to the large structures visible today in the vastness of the cosmos.

At the bottom of the screen we can read the time elapsed since the Big Bang, the event that is occurring at that stage, and how many years separate us from that time.

The video is narrated by the voices of English actor Brian Cox, American astrophysicist and science communicator Richard Attenborough, and British actor and director Richard Attenborough (but there are Portuguese subtitles if you need them).

The man only appears in the final moments of the video because, on that timescale, we only emerge in the last fraction of a second.
